Single Action Revolvers - You will need 2. The Ruger Vaquero, Colt SAA and replicas are examples of acceptable revolvers. See the SASS handbook for more information.  

Lever Action Rifle - must be in a pistol caliber. Many shooters prefer to have a rifle in the same caliber as their revolvers. Marlin, Winchester, and Rossi are just a few of the manufacturers that make these rifles. Get one that will hold at least 10 rounds in the magazine. You can use one that holds less but many stages call for 10 shots.

Shotgun - Any side by side shotgun typical of the era without automatic ejectors, with or without external hammers, with single or double triggers. Any lever action or pump shotgun with an exposed hammer (e.g., Winchester Model 1887 or 1897). Must be no larger than 10 gauge or no smaller than 20 gauge.
